Keefe Law Firm is honored to announce managing partner, John E. Keefe Jr., was named president of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.
TANJ, known as Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, was developed over 35 years ago with the purpose of protecting the interests of the public and improving the civil and criminal justice systems throughout New Jersey. TANJ has approximately 800 members that are both plaintiff and defense attorneys from the civil and criminal bars. The organization is committed to improving and promoting the interests of public, litigants who are involved with criminal and civil cases, and the interests of the New Jersey court system.
TANJ accommodates a diverse group of members such as young attorneys and government employees. The organization also provides memberships to law students in New Jersey. Members are provided a wide variety of services, including continuing legal education courses, leadership roles on issues that influence the quality of life for lawyers, judges, and litigants. There is also a forum for plaintiff and defense trial attorneys to exchange ideas to help improve the interests of the New Jersey Trial Bar.
Mr. Keefe is a resident of Rumson, NJ. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. He earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He was named a New Jersey Super Lawyer by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in 2006. He is a Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Additionally, he is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, which is granted by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to less than 3% of the attorneys in New Jersey. He has bar admissions to New Jersey, District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court—Northern District of Florida.
