Governor-Elect Murphy Assembling Transition Team, And John Keefe Jr. Is on It

Keefe Law Firm is proud to announce that our managing partner and founder—John Keefe Jr.—has been appointed to the Law and Justice Committee of Governor-Elect Phil Murphy’s Transition Team.

John is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney who has trial experience in both the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey. As a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, John has tried many personal injury cases, specializing in negligence, product liability and mass tort litigations.

He has served as lead counsel on behalf of plaintiffs in Janes v. Ciba Geigy Corporation (Docket No.: MID-L- 1669-01-MT), one of the largest pollution cases in New Jersey. He also helped a young widow and her children resolve a wrongful death case against New Jersey Transit Corporation for $10 million. John was even instrumental in the Talalai v. Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (Docket No.: MID-L-8830-00-MT) settlement, which was valued between $1 billion and $3 billion.

John earned his B.A. from Gettysburg College before earning his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1990. He is also a bar member for the U.S. District Court – District of New Jersey, the Northern District of Florida, and Washington D.C.  John is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
